As parents, most of us want to help our children to develop character traits such as endurance, honor, forgiveness, and faith. We know from life’s experiences how much these qualities have helped us, or perhaps how the lack of them has harmed us. Our heart’s desire is that our children learn from the mistakes we have made and enjoy a better life than we have, even when we have spent our lives well. I would go so far as to say that this is a universal desire within parents, and one that has been in our hearts from the beginning of time.
I’m excited to share with you today about a wonderful new study that is available to help your children learn about and begin to develop the character traits I mention above.
In To Every Nation your children will learn about countries such as China, The Netherlands, and Ecuador, and they will get to know missionaries such as Gladys Aylward, Corrie Ten Boom, George Mueller, and Eric Liddell. Along with gathering interesting facts and learning about the languages and religions in each country, children will be challenged to identify the struggles each missionary had as he or she followed God’s calling into the mission field. They will learn to pick out the ways God worked in each missionary’s life specifically. Applicable scripture is included throughout the study to use as copy work, helping your children to learn how to pay careful attention to their writing but also, and even more important, helping them to get God’s word deep in their hearts through memorization.
How to Use To Every Nation
(full description is given at the beginning of the study)
- As a bible study Read the bible study and discuss each missionary’s life. Complete the Application page, discuss what was learned. Read the scripture and have your child complete the copy work. Direct your children o respond to the verse with journal drawing or writing.
- As a homeschool study Read the biography for each missionary. Learn about the country to which he or she was called to serve. Create a timeline of the missionary’s life. Complete the Application page and the included copy work.
- As a long-term homeschool study Use To Every Nation as a backbone, a jumping off point, for an entire semester of study. Find helpful resources (linked in the study) to learn more about each missionary. Study the various countries in which they served in depth. Learn more about their struggles.
I am planning to use the first and second options with my children ages 5 to 12. This is the perfect opportunity for us to study more of God’s word together, and to learn about how specific ones of His people have served Him wholeheartedly. We will continue to think about ways that we, too, can serve Him wholeheartedly right where we are today, and prayerfully begin to implement some of the new ideas as we sense God calling us.
Head on over and grab To Every Nation now. This amazing study is on sale for a limited time for just $14, 50% OFF the regular price.
Dive into God’s word and let Him begin to change you and your children from the inside out.
