Do you ever find yourself longing for the presence of Jesus? As Christ-followers, we have all felt that many times, I’m guessing. But I mean a deeper longing to truly experience His presence, life-change, a I-will-never-be-the-same experience that puts us on a path, changes our trajectory completely, and it’s one we revel in with a joy we have never felt before.
Sometimes I find myself in this place……I get lost in His Word, or words about Him in praise, as in the song I’ve shared below. Join me for a moment in worshiping our Lord? Petition Him to rain down His presence, His goodness, His glory…….
Tell Him He is welcome…just where you are. Let Him fill you right up with joy today so that you can walk through life with a peaceful smile, a kind heart, a soothed soul, and living loved in a way you’ve never quite lived before.
If we could just walk through life in constant worship, experiencing His presence, remembering His love, His Word, His grace and mercy, His gifts, the ever-present shelter He provides for us, wouldn’t that be life changing?
At times, we forget. We forget the price He paid.
Whining and complaining supplant the praise and joy. Circumstances overtake us, emotions overwhelm us, and we take our eyes off of the One who loves us like no other.
Are your eyes fixed on your circumstance rather than your creator? Sometimes, many times, I take my eyes off of Him and fix them on a hurt, a circumstance, a loss from the past. I want to learn to fix my eyes on Him and Him alone.
Will you spend a few moments in prayer and praise right now, just as I am as I write these words, allowing Him to overwhelm you with His presence, so that you can walk through this day full of His love? So that you can live loved.
